Captain Béla

My commitment to sailing and boats started early when I read the popular books from András Dékány. For a long time it remained just a dream but after I graduated as an electrical engineer and started to work, there was an opportunity to use my employer’s sailboats on lake Balaton. Later my friends organised charters in the Adriatic and the salt water seeped into my pores. I passed the captain exam in Croatia, and since did many turns in the Adriatic, Aegean, Tyrrhenian sea, Canary Islands, Azores, and Martinique-Antigua.

I met Alex on the turn taking Joy from the Azores to Tangier and we quickly found out that we share the same philosophy when in comes to sailing and boating. Joy is an amazing boat, hence  I joined the team as part owner and captain.
